Dental Insurance

Keep your smile bright with dental coverage tailored for you.

A healthy smile shouldn’t come with painful bills. That’s where dental insurance comes in—designed to help offset the cost of regular checkups, cleanings, and more involved procedures like crowns, fillings, and even dentures. Depending on the type of plan you choose—like a PPO, DHMO, or indemnity—you may have flexibility to stick with your favorite dentist or get extra savings by staying in-network. Some plans even offer free preventative care and minimal waiting periods for major services. Whether you're looking for basic routine coverage or more robust protection for dental work down the line, there's a plan to match. Dental insurance not only helps you manage costs, it encourages regular visits, which are key to catching issues early and keeping your teeth in top shape. A healthier mouth starts with the right plan.

Why it's a good idea to get this coverage in our area:

Dental insurance is all about helping you manage the costs that come with keeping your smile healthy. Whether it’s routine cleanings or more involved procedures, dental insurance steps in to cover part of the expense, making it easier to stay on top of your oral health without breaking the bank.

There are a few common types of dental insurance to consider, each with its own way of protecting you. One option is an indemnity plan, which can be a good fit if you prefer to stick with your current dentist who might not be part of a specific network. With this plan, the insurer usually pays a percentage of your dental bills based on the policy you choose. It’s important to check details like co-pays, deductibles, waiting periods, and any annual limits before committing.

Then there’s the Dental Health Managed Organization, or DHMO plan. Dentists in these networks agree to offer services at reduced rates following a set fee schedule. These plans often come with little or no waiting time and may cover major dental work early on. Plus, many include free routine care like cleanings twice a year. They’re designed to help make expensive treatments like crowns, implants, or dentures more affordable, although there might be some limits to keep in mind.

Preferred Provider Organization, or PPO plans, offer flexibility by letting you choose between in-network providers and going out-of-network, though going outside the network could mean paying more out of pocket. PPOs usually have annual maximum benefits, meaning there’s a limit on how much the plan will pay in a year. After reaching that cap, you’d cover any additional dental work yourself until the benefit resets.
